tow tune

Dunno if this is right place but I just got a sct tuner and has 87 performance/tow tune along with 89 performance. I'd like to keep it in 87 perf but I have a 18' bass tracker that I normally haul bout 30 miles a weekend in summer. Do I have to load tow tune in to haul that? How many pounds is safe to haul in perf. mode?

IIRC, I read on here that somewhere around the 1700 LB mark was the max for the Performance tunes. That also includes your weight and other things in the truck, etc.

I wouldn't tow *anything* with the performance tune. Better safe than sorry.

Again, I can't see why you would want to run the performance tune when you have a tow tune available. Take the few extra minutes it takes to load the tow tune, your truck will thank you for it!
