www.tuningsuperstore.com

Hes a great tuner, and knows his way around a custom tune

You can also use the dealer locator on our site to find a CMR tuner locally if you prefer.

Thanks

check out kurgan motorsports ( http://www.kurganmotorsports.com/site/index.php ) they're out of GA but bob kurgan normally sets up tuning days at different performance shops around the county. he use to be located in chicago, but he still sponsors the local mustang club, he may do an email tune for you, but don't quote me on that he prefers live dyno tuning.

Hey Diablo Mike, I used TSS like you suggested and have a custom tune now. I find it strange that I was never asked what type of tune I wanted. I didn't realize this till after I had gotten the tune. I emailed him and asked if it was a 87 performance tune and his reply was yes, its a economy performance 87 octane tune. Whats that mean? How could it be both?

There is no reason to have separate tunes for 87 octane and economy, in fact even a max effort 93 octane tune should be set up to improve economy as well.

A thorough tune will address all areas, WOT performance, drivability, as well as cruise which is where you are looking for economy gains. Writing an 87 tune that does is not designed to also improve mileage would be half of a tune

Optimizing the cruise areas for mileage gains will have no affect on WOT performance

hey mike, i just got my U7151 a few days ago, mainly b/c i am about to put on bigger tires. i did upload the 87 performance tune that came on the predator and will say that the throttle response is better. i tried the 91 and just didnt feel any difference.

my question is, will i do better with a custom tune from the tuner you recommended above or will the canned tune that came in the U7151 be about as good as it gets?

i have a bamachips 91 torque tune on a predator in my 06 stang gt with a CAI and it absolutely rocks. i dont plan on doing any CAI or anything on the f150 as it seems from what i have read on here that these trucks dont respond the same way the mustangs do with these mods (CAIs). is there a way to make these trucks come to life? any insight would be helpful.

thanks!

We saw gains on some of the CAIs (I believe Airaid was the best) when we developed the CAI tunes.

If you're leaving it totally stock there is not much power to be had from a custom tune, but they can do stuff like your stang tune to make the throttle response very sensitive if you'd like...

but will my "butt dyno" notice it though? im not much on printouts, if i cant feel it, it doesnt exist. i dont know how much hp gain my stang got, but i can feel it every time i drop the clutch.... will i get a similar result with a CAI on the f150?

thanks!

well since you have the predator already, I would recommend a CAI or at least gotts mod, get your bigger tires thrown on, then find someone to write you a tune for it all if you're not experienced doing it yourself.

some people on here say a CAI is a waste, especially if you're not getting your truck tuned for the intake. I got mine in classifieds for $125 so well worth it to me, then had a couple tunes written to go along with it. I went with the aem brute force, and honestly as soon as i had it put on, I couldnt keep my foot off the throttle. I only had the CAI on before my exhaust and it sounded and felt great. My 'butt dyno' felt it way more than any printout would show I'm sure, and having the tune done makes me feel safe about not having to worry about running lean issues.

go for it!

Stock intake with the GOTTS mod. You wont see a difference between an aftermarket intake and your GOTTS stock intake, if there is a difference, it will be on paper and minimal. $200 or $2.....your choice....
