Im looking to get a performance tuner for an 06 f150. Im looking for one that will give the most hp and torque gains. Tell me which brands are good ones and also ones to stay away from. Id also like some mpg gains if possible haha

Hate to burst your bubble but they're all about the same the ones that can use custom tunes are better and depending who posts here they're going to give you their opinion.....

I've used the php monochrome gryphon and the edge cts from php I liked the gauges......now I'm running a sct SF3 which I bought used but I'm running tunes from php and Vmptuning on it.....I like all of those tunes....

Its just a little confusing, like im not sure which brand to buy? I know you get tunes from different people but which tuner should i get? Are they all the same?

 

The next thing to look at is do you want gauges (like the edge CS or CTS or trinity) or something that you load the tune and just put away (like the sct xcal3/SF3 or predator)?

Once again they're all about the same....when you get custom tunes then that all depends on which company writes them...

 

Okay, this is making a little bit more sense now. I like the visible gauges and stuff. I have an 06 lariat, is the top left dash the only place to mount it? That mounting kit looks kind of bulky to me, thats just my opinion though

 

It's really not that bulky looking unless you go with a CTS.....monochrome gryphon or the CS fit right in the pod...
