The Hypertech Max Energy Programmer with give you all the features for programming. It gives you a tune for regular 87 octane or 91 octane, shift points, shift firmness, rev limiter, top speed, tire size & gear ratio. The 87 octane tune provides 35 HP & 42 Tq and the premium fuel tune did not make a big difference, 36 Hp & 42 Tq. The part number is 42003.
any question contact Gary @ Hypertech

Anyone running the Hypertech Max Energy? I'm debating between the Hypertech or Gryphon CS. Those are pretty impressive numbers for 87 octane.

Ordered from Mike at 5startuning yesterday. Can't wait. If you are ordering from Canada Mike ships from a location in Canada. Saves you the gd hassle at the border.

I'll report back once I get the tunes downloaded

Cheef,

What tuner did you order? I see Mike mostly deals with the Xcal3.

Either way, the "canned" tunes they come with may or may not be satisfactory.
Not to mention they could cause damage to the transmission, or at least that's what I used to read about a lot on here back in the day. Some of the information posted by others would be scewed sometimes and could actually be the results of some trying to tweek their own tunes at which point they would be screwing things up themselves.

And on that note, not to burst the bubbles of our sponsors who chimed in with their sales pitches which btw were pretty good (sorry guys, just busting your chops), I really wouldn't trust myself in customizing my own programming, for fear that with my limited knowledge, very limited, I would be screwing something up and would end up spending much needed funds on a new engine or transmission instead. I just feel safer paying someone who knows their way around tuners to do a proper job on customizing one for me.

Bubba Joe - I ordered the xcal from Mike. It shipped Friday so it should be here this week unless Canada Post get's backlogged from the Christmas rush. Great time to buy if you are in Canada, it appears he is extending his web "sale" price to us here as well with shipping included! Like everyone else has mentioned on the internet, Mike is real easy going and easy to deal with.

I'll keep you posted.
