Question Hex Code

Hey guys,

I just picked up an Edge Evolution II locally off Craigslist today for $160 and I getting ready to send it off the PHP to convert it. I was filling out the form on there website and got to writing down my info off the programmer and I've come up with two different hex codes. The programmer has a truck hex when I first plug it in and then when I go the diagnostics it shows a different hex code. I watched the guy return it stock before I bought it so I know that's not the problem. I'm assuming I use the hex code in the diagnostics menu but I want to be sure?

Thanks!

Well I talked to the guys at PHP this afternoon and got things figured out. It's in the mail and heading to PHP to be gryphonized. I can't wait to get it back and on the truck!

I'd like to know too. I've never heard of that possibility, unless this is an 09+ truck with both an ECM and a TCM code (and that doesn't seem to be the case here).

I'm wondering if it wasn't a misinterpretation of a serial number or version I'D number.....who knows....php got him straightened out.....

He told me that it was showing two different hex codes because it was previously tuned to a different truck before I bought it and I never programmed it to my truck after buying it. For that reason it will still show the previous owners hex code in the diagnostics menu until I reprogram to my truck, even though it was already returned to stock.

I couldn't pass up on it for $160, so I'll have $245 into it once I get it converted and with a custom tune. Plus there's only 2-3 week wait

I also ordered myself a set of Marathon seat covers yesterday for a Christmas present from my wife.

Now I sit and wait...

I got my invoice emailed to me yesterday. Looks like my programmer is done and in the mail in just over a week! I'll post my reviews when I get it
