Is that a good or a bad thing?? I'm guessing good. I am thinking of trying them out.

I was about to say, if you waited 6 month with VMP, then I might as well go with Troyer! I would love to have one of his tunes again, but I don't want to wait even two months! That was the reason I went with 5 Star, but I'm not completely satisfided with their quality.

I ordered the SCT X3 with custom tunes from 5StarTuning about a week and a half ago. Was at my doorstep in about 3 days, but I didn't get the chance to put it on my truck until yesterday. My thoughts.. "ugh!" After about a year of reading these forums on tuners, I finally pulled the trigger and $415 later, the results were very disappointing. I have only driven the truck once, and apparently the computer in the truck needs to "learn" the new tune over 3-5 drive cycles, but all I can say is that if someone would have loaded this tune behind my back without me knowing...I would never know it was there. Very disappointing.

Call them and discuss your feelings - your tunes may need some tweaking.

Yeah I emailed Mike back three different times to get my tune "tweaked" but after the 3rd revision, I was tired of messing with it. And all he really changed was the way the trans shifted, which made it better but still not happy with it. Great turn-around time and service, but quality, not so much... Will be trying VMPs soon!

Stick with the best. Troyer is a long wait but its a worthwhile sacrifice.

Yeah I may go ahead and put in a order for his as well! So I'm at least on the list.
