My truck wouldn't even warm up. I was blocking the grille with a black trash bag and that barely worked.
THAT should have been a clue right there!

You may want to get your cats checked.

Oh I figured that was it, but I wasn't positive. I said last winter I thought it was a bad thermostat. The cat's are on the list - I am probably going to just replace them since Ford wants 100 bucks just for diagnostics usually. I could try to work a deal when I go in for my brakes and ask if they could look it over. They said the truck had a engine skip and could be a bad cat... this was last december. I have noticed a slight shake every so often at idle, but my mileage is still awesome. Still been planning on getting to them though. It was COP 3 I think

You *should* be able to get a free cat check at a muffler shop.

The shop I go to doesn't do that... I had already tried... even have a spare 94106 cat in my room just for this. Bought it right after it happened last winter

I'm having a hard time believing this right now... you jinxed me George I haven't seen P0430 since February and all of a sudden today on my way to my second job... boom P0430. Why the heck would it kick back on? I'm assuming the cat is bad then, that's bank 2. Since my truck is running normal temps now, do you think the cat is getting hotter or something? Why would it kick off for 7 months?

It doesn't necessarily mean it's getting plugged - it can simply mean that it's just shot and not doing its job. Exhaust leaks can also trip a cat efficiency code.
