Performance shops for SVT in/around South Louisiana
Have 99 Lightning and replaced pulley on supercharger and now have code that engine is running lean. I need a reputable performance shop to correct problem and do power increasing mods. I live in Lafayette, LA. and would like to use someone in the general area. Does anyone have a GOOD shop who knows SVTs and how to work on them? I am not mechanically inclined and would prefer to have someone whos knows what they're doing work on it, preferable before I hurt the truck. The pulley is 2 pound. Suggestions? I buggered the stock pulley getting it off, so I'd need a new /used stock pulley to get it back to original specifications.

That's where I plan on going when I want to have a supercharger installed on my truck, hopefully in the near future.
Here's a link to their website (http://www.stanghi.com/) and it tells a little about them and their services. I frequent it often and emailed Cody last year with a few questions. I've been wanting to stop by their shop and look around.
Hope this helps and keep us informed.

Damn, I might go there too. Been wanting to get custom tunes. For purchasing an SCT Tuner with Custom Tuning you will receive $100 off Custom Tuning. Not a bad deal ~530 plus tax.

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate all the input. It really helped as I was going to drive all the way to Houston to get the truck worked on. Now I am going to contact Stang-Hi and see if they will work on the Lightning. If they do, I will report back here with my comments and opinions about the shop, the service, and the results. If they don't work on it, I will post again when I find a shop and report the results of that encounter.

If I'm not mistaken there is a guy in Lafayette that does custom tuning. I'm not sure if he specializes in SVT's but it might be worth a shot. I think the name of the shop is Hoyt performance.

I am in lafayette too...from nola originally...not a lot around here. Hoyt has a dyno and works on mustangs a lot. I am not sure if he does the tuning tho or has someone else do it while using his dyno. TPS in BR can tune it...I havent used them but have heard good things about them. Stang hi is a nice shop and cody is ok...I went there with my blown o6 gt tho and the whipple tune got erased...and i spent many many hours over there trying to get the car started and running again so I could get whipple to send me another tune. It was a messed up situation...not sure if I would say all blame on cody...and being a new platform I guess it was harder for him to get a custom tune in to becasue it didnt run that good after. I have heard good things about him tho so im sure it would be ok. Thats about all I know of in the area....might have something in new orleans for the lightnings...
Thanks for the input
I got a hold of Cody at Stang Hi and am taking the truck to him at the end of the month. I'll post after he gets done and let you know how it goes. Thanks for the responses.
