Do you believe you would see the same dramatic improvements in the 04-08 platform???

Yes, I think the power gains may even be bigger in the 04-08 platforms as I think Ford left more on the table with those. With the 04-08 platforms the Edge is also a good candidate because they offer engine and trans tuning. Where in the 09-10 apparently you only get engine tuning.

When I had the stock tune the truck seemed to always be hunting for gears and constantly changing. I think most of this comes from them programming the trans to hold each gear just a tad longer but im sure they will tell you exactly what is changed if you ask them. To be honest its the single best mod I have done.

I recently had the Edge CS and was happy with what that did but the SCT really changes the transmission on these trucks. I recently found out that the Edge CS only changes the shift firmness and nothing else on the 09-10 platform. With that said thats why im happier with the SCT. As I said earlier, call them up and you wont be disappointed.

I wish I had some mpg data to report but I rarely drive my truck. I have only driven it 20 miles since I put the tuner on it last week. As soon as I left my driveway the truck drove way better from the get go.

I would bet Justins tunes over at VMP will basically do the same thing since he also uses the SCT tuner.
As of right now the edge cs+cts does not alter any programming in the tranny computer in the 09-10 f150 trucks....still waiting for edge to get the update out...

The shift firmness you felt was the tranny computer adaptively adjusting itself for the changes made in the engine computer......

Thumbs up Just sent my info to M.B.

Called and spoke to Mike over at 5 Star yesterday and sent all the info to him this morning, so waiting for response. Looking forward to getting an updated tune (currently running Troyer tunes) for the truck as I have bigger tires and true duels on it now since putting Troyer tunes on the truck. and I thought I would give 5 Star a try. Even though the budget is tight, I felt this to be a necessary expenditure since the truck has started to run a little "funny" since doing the exhaust and I wanted to give someone else's tunes a try. Any one know when payment is due because when filling out the information sheet there was nothing on there about payment.
