Can XCal3 reprogram speedometer?

I have one tuned by VMP and I switched to larger wheels and tires. Is there a way to recalibrate the speedometer?

Yes, I know on my Xcal3 I have the choice of gear ratio and/or tire revolutions per mile. Obviously the Revs per mile is what you want to adjust to your correct tire size accordingly.

To the OP - you did not tell us the model year of your truck. If it's an old one (pre-2000), the X3 may not be able to do it. If the PCM is not in the loop, you'll have to change the gearing of the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS).

I can never remember when the PCM was brought into the picture. I'm thinking it was 1999, but my rapidly fading brain cells are not helping much. :o

Brain cell loss or not, you are correct. 1999. 97' - 98' require the vss gear change and custom tuning to get the speedo correct.

Thanks, ONELOWF! Appreciate you not giving me the "idiot" treatment.

To the OP, with an 07, you are good to go with the X3. 88Racing gave you the correct guidance. Just look for the appropriate menu in the device.
