edge programmers???
i have been researching programmers for the last couple weeks, and i know that im going with and edge system. the regular edge evolution system is nice and i feel like it would do everything i need, but i love the CS and the CTS, but does anyone know the difference between the CS/CTS and the Insight CS/CTS? is the only thing that the insight runs through the OBDII? if anyone knows anything else that i dont, i would appreciate the info.

you're new so I'll be gentlethe Edge is a POS canned tuning device, if you want the "coolness" of the "guages" go for the Gryphon or SCT Livewire

If you want tunes then look at the cs+cts PROGRAMMERS....
If you want CUSTOM TUNES then you can always get them at power hungry performance if your not satisfied with the CANNED TUNES.....PHP can write and load custom tunes for the cs+cts while it still looks like an edge product...

Well from talking with JackandJanet he said that Edge's Evolution CTS (non gryphon unit) can take PHP's custom tunes through Edge's fusion software. So you do not need a grpyhon cts to get custom tunes. Before, I thought only the gryphons units where able to accept custom tuning. I believe the older monochrome edge units could not accept custom tuning, thus the need for a gryphon and the need to upgrade your old edge units to a gryphon.
If you buy a Edge CTS (non gryphon unit) it can accept custom tunes from PHP for $60 per tune. If you bought a gryphon, tunes would be $30 per tune. I found a CTS unit, pod mount with pod cts clip from an authorized Edge dealer for a total of $575.10(shipped). If I want to add a PHP custom tune it would cost me $60.

If you buy the cs/ cts programmer from a different vendor other than PHP there might be a surcharge to load the custom tunes to fusion....
Also the OP wanted to know the difference between the insight versions and the programming versions......the insight doesn't have the ability for canned or custom tunes....gauges only...
