Gryphon controller in Route

Since it is the weekend and the only time I get online normally I thought I would post that I ordered a new Gryphon controller about 10 days ago. I got a email message that it had been shipped on Thursday 1/13.
I know that I had read a few post about issue with shipping times and responses from the folks at Power Hungry Performance. So obviously they have either fixed the issue or did not have an issue in the first place.

I am patiently waiting for UPS to deliver the unit to me on Monday.
Now since I work for UPS I should be patient. But after tracking the shipment and seeing the weather delays, I did get a little aggravated. They have no sympathy for me during a weather event!!! Why should I have it for them right?

But any way I look forward to the installation of the new controller and so far I am happy with the great service from Power Hungry Performance's service.

Terry

My CS has been stuck in Georgia since last week due to the weather. Sucks, but certainly not PHPs fault. I just want to get it here so I can forward my calibration code to PHP and they can start on my custom tunes. I'm sure it will be more than worth the wait!!!!

You should have your tuner in a few days. The custom tunes should about 3-4 weeks. It has taken us so long to get our tuners because all of the snow and ice in Georgia last week. UPS was shut down for a few days last week down there. PHP will ship the tuner as soon as you order it.

I am also patiently waiting for my CTS ordered on 1/12 from PHP...invoice said it should ship on 1/13, but it also said it was being drop shipped. I am assuming that it is coming from Edge, but I am hoping it will be here Tuesday or Wednesday. I need it so I can get my Hex and order my custom 87 performance tune.

Yes, you can order the unit now and custom tunes later. That is what I am doing. My unit is on it's way and I will be placing an order for my custom tunes here in a few weeks (maybe sooner). The only thing is, unless you intend in running 93 octane, it has been recommended to me to not use the 93 performance tune. That is why I am getting a custom 87 performance tune and a custom 87 tow tune.

Also, you can get a custom tune now, do your upgrades sometime down the road and get a new custom made for the upgrades you did then.

You can order the CTS now and run the canned tunes until you get your mods done and then order some custom tunes to fit the mods you have done to your truck. This would make the most sense to me so you wouldn't be paying for custom tunes twice. If you install a CAI you would want to run the canned 87 tow tune until you get your custom tunes in, as it helps to keep your truck from running to lean with the CAI. If I were you I would also check out the Gotts mod which you can do yourself for about $15, works just as well if not better than an aftermarket CAI, and you don't have to worry about running lean. Just something to consider. But if you do end up with a CAI, PHP can account for it in your custom tunes. GOOD LUCK!!!

I remember Corey saying that they were having a lot of them drop shipped because they couldn't keep enough stock on hand to ship the orders they were getting in, which actually benefitted some with the GA weather last week.

I work away from home, so I'm not in a huge rush. I won't be home again until Wednesday morning and I just hope it comes in before I have to leave again. But then again...sometimes good things are worth the wait.

Thanks for the input though.

Mine FINALLY left the ice castle of Georgia this morning. Been stuck at some UPS terminal down there since Wednesday or so. They must have had some pretty nasty weather down there. Estimated to arrive tomorrow!!!

Great news...My CTS was delivered yesterday, and I am getting ready to install it on my truck. I went to use my laptop to check for new updates on the unit...no go (I'm guessing because I only had one of the USB's attached, not both)...so I installed everything on my desktop and am currently updating, but then it's time to go, go, go!
