update x2 from 1998 4.2v6 5speed manual to my new 2006 truck with 4.2v6 automatic. What do i need to do?

Will the programs i already have in it work on my new 06. Old setup was 4.2v6 with 5 speed manual, new setup is 4.2v6 with automatic transmission. Do i need to change programs to work or just plug it in and go.

 

I'm guessing you have an XCAL2 and want to know if it will work with your 'new' truck, right?

Since the XCAL2 is an obsolete product, I couldn't find any manuals on SCT's website.

I suggest you take the easy route and call or e-mail tech support.

more than likely it won't work BUT sct tech will be the ones who should know what you'll need to do to update your Xcal2 and then you'll probably need a tune if your hex code has changed

 

Yer old tunes won't work on the new truck due to body style....transmissions....and fly by wire tb and hex codes......as far as the device contact SCT for compatibility.
