PHP custom tunes

I hope I do not get branded a cheapo but I have a question. In order to get custom tunes from PHP do I have to buy the EDGE from them or can I just pay them for the tunes. There are several companies running pretty good sales on the CTS and it might be a good time to take advantage.

I fully expect to pay for the custom tunes I just do not know if PHP will do the tunes if the unit is purchased elsewhere.

You can order the custom tunes from PHP even if you buy it from another retailer.

In my experience, however, PHP's discount on the tunes makes up for any savings on the hardware.

2010 SCREW 4x4 Lariat I drive my truck app. 1000 miles a week for work and also tow some on weekends. I had a 2006 of the same model and rode it for 248,000 trouble free miles. I had the older style monochrome EDGE on it and ran it most of the time in Tow mode.

I am looking at the EDGE model for my 2010 without the touchscreen. If I had any custom tunes it would be for fuel economy and one for towing. The truck has no mods unless you count the K&N filter and I do not plan any other than the tuner.

So you're looking for the CS with 87 performance/econ and 87 towing tunes (keeping the canned 93 performance).

Corey should be able to give you a 'delivered to your door' price and a price for the custom tunes so that you can compare total price.

If you do purchase the CS from another retailer, make sure you register on Edge's website and send PHP your serial number and hex code. Your custom tunes will be downloaded from Edge's server (using Fusion).

By all means - DO "comparison shop". Shotgunz just gave you some good advice. Follow it. Don't expect any of the rest of us to do as good a job as you can do for yourself. We'll give "opinions", but we're not shelling out the "bucks".

And, you're considering the same tuning strategy that I have (and am happy with).

Old edge to New

I called edge and traded in my old edge from my 06 f150 to a new CTS for my 2010 and got a great deal. I was glad I did not give my old one away.
