what programmer ?

What programmer to use on my 07 f150 5.4 3 valve?

I don't know which one would provide the best power gains plus being able to have a econ mode for long highway driving

Hi Jake, and welcome!

See the links in my siggy - including Sir Jack's terrific dissertation.

My recommendation - go Custom - VMP-tuned SCT X3 - with one of the tunes being an econ tune.

Call/email Justin Starkey (the owner and tuner) to discuss yer specific requirements.

You'll get it fast too, at a very competitive price

Any more questions - ask away - it's what we are here for

Great sig pic MDG!

I know why you are not recommending an Edge, but I think you are being just a bit too "general". The lack of TCM tuning effects the 09+ trucks. There's no real problem or deficiency that I see in the 04-08 model Edge/Gryphon model or even in the pre-09 CS/CTS programmers. Yes, there is an inability to set WOT shift points in the pre-09 CS/CTS programmers, but a custom tune will set them and I rather suspect Edge WILL get that feature added someday.

However, I'm not trying to tell you what to advise people. Just trying to clarify things a bit.
