Edge calibration
I got the truck back from the dealer, I did reset it to stock before they got it. now I cant load any tunes. It tells me callibration is not yet supported. ? They had told me they would flash it. but it doesnt mention it on the invoice. I also cant clear the DTC codes. What Should I do ?
Why did you let them flash it? I always tell them not to touch the PCM. You will have to download an update to see if there is support for the new calibration.

I thought as long as I had reset to stock I would be alright. The truck was in because of a transmission shuttering. that came on all of a sudden. I was also experiencing it breaking up under enthusiastic acceleration. I thought it was going to be related to the spark plugs again. So am I screwed ? I havent been able to update it. Ive loaded the software but I cant get anything to happen . I'm kind of a nube when it comes to computers.
As for updating, you went to the update site and downloaded Lightning (for EEF2400 model devices)? Looks purty straighforward following their instructions in the PDF on that site:

Good luck, Jon.

The problem Im having is that it says to go to utilities menu. I cannot find anything that says utilities menu. Ive got the lightning software downloaded. Plugged in the Usb cable to both and .Have no clue what should be happening from there. ???

Should the Edge controller light up when plugged in to the USB ? I would think so. As luck would have it these situations always present themselves on a weekend when Tech support can't be reached. Thats why the forum is a savior to many of us.
The next thing you see is a 'connect' message looking for updates, then a pop-up saying 'connect device to launch Lightning'.
Past that I can't help - as I don't own an Edge, lol.
Where TF are all the Edge gurus? Is this a test????

Now - excuse me - I gotta uninstall this Lightning crap off my nice clean SCT pc before it peckers something ...

Well thanks for trying to help. Im going to try to get my bro. in law, whos a computer guru to help me out . Untill then I guess I'm stuck with the sluggish stock tune. too bad I wanted to put the pedal down to see if it was going to break up on me. thanks again.
I just sent my Evolution back to Edge Products. The problem I was experiencing trying to update the programer was the result of Edge products updating their website. When they did , they decided not to include upgrades for the programers using the lightning sortware. Now they are using the fusion software. So they will be sending me a new Evolution that uses the Fusion software. Positive side = new programer. negative side = shipping to and from Utah will take two weeks. I should have had them send it right to PHP for an upgrade and tunes. At least my truck is not shuttering anymore.

Sorry, MGD, I was late to the party. But I would not have had a clue anyway. I would have thought his programmer would recognize ANY calibrations for the 05 model year.

I agree. " above and beyond " is correct. Ive been running the Evolution for four years pretty much problem free. extremely hot weather and very cold weather has affected the LCD screen at times. but other than that I have been very happy with it. I never felt the need to upgrade it. Because I believe in " If it aint broke, dont fix it " . I am considering an SCT programmer. because the local dyno shop prefers to use them and had at one time offered a package deal that included dyno time with the purchase.
Yeah I'll be changing to SCT too Jon in a couple of years. WHen I plan to do headers which I am hoping for within 2 years, I will find a local shop to dyno the truck with true duals. It's way more global. Depending on what you decide to go with, here's my plan. Keep my gryphon, but have the SCT tune flashed onto the PCM. Then hook the Gryphon to my ODBII port and keep my display
Which dyno shop btw? Any info?
