Edge CS - Tire size/speedo questions?

I just bought an Edge evo cs today and I am super smiley after driving canned level 2 tow, it's a world of difference in driving. Only problem I'm having is getting the CS and dash speedomoter to match my GPS. I'm guessing my gps to be the most accurate because when I drive past the road signs that display your speed they are dead on. Also I have an app on my phone with a speedometer and it matches my gps as well. Before the CS my dash would always read 3mph lower than my GPS with 305/40/22 tires. The sticker in my door jamb reads 255/70/16 so thats what I put in the cs before putting in the larger 22" tire size. The cs and dash both read about 7-8mph faster than my GPS. So I changed the stock tire size to 265/70/16 then added 305/40/22 afterwards. Honestly after driving it like that I had a hard time paying attention which was faster than which because all three of them were showing different speeds within 4mph of eachother.
What adjustments to I need to make to get either speed of the cs or dash to match my gps? Oh, my truck is an 02 supercrew 5.4 2wd.

On the CS you should be able to plug in your 22" tire size in one of the settings screens.
The 2 speeds you want to match are the CS and GPS then the speedometer will read +1 to +2 higher than them for that difference cannot be able to be corrected.

I'm sorry, 22" tires? What are you driving, a go-kart?

I'd enter a tire diameter of 31.1". That should be about right for the super-low profile tires on your 22" rims (accounting for some "squish"). Forget about entering a different "stock" tire size. You need to enter the diameter of the tires you are using.

And what 88racing said about the speeds is correct. Your dash speedo should read about 2 mph higher than the Edge or the GPS when things are set up right, and the Edge and the GPS should agree.

Make sure your Gear Ratio is correct too. It needs to be what is installed in your truck.

Ah, The gear ratio. I left the cs at stock setting 3.31 and mine is 3.55.
Thanks for the replies guys, I'll try these things when I get home.

Oh yes,
Never forget to check the gear ratios.......

That was going to be my second question but I'm glad you caught it.

Have a good weekend!

Changing the tire size from 31.6 to 31.1 and gear ratio from 3.31 to 3.55 has the CS and GPS matching perfect, Speedo between 1-2mph higher. Thanks!

Just an update/pic. Edge shows 72, dash 73, gps 71. The gps takes a second or two to catch up with the cs, im guessing the cs responds faster in real time. Pic was taken on cruise control.

I just changed to larger tires and then changed it in the edge CS but where can I change the gear ratio at?

To amplify on shotgunz's post: You only see this menu if you "choose" to make "custom options" when you're loading a tune.
