Just wanted to know if there was noticeable transmission improvements during acceleration and WOT. The shifting is really the only thing about the truck that has bothered me. More hp and tq are nice also.

Oh and what is this hex code business?

Personally, I cant wait till they come out with a dash pod for these. You'd think with the amount of time Edge took getting their act together, they'd develop something that has a better/more integrated way to mount these things other than an oversized suction cup with a big ugly arm hanging off of it.

Wonder why mine said no updates were available when I tried to update it thru Fusion? Hmmmm now it has me worried.

my old 06 would run 145-175

I dont know if the transmission cart above is for the new transmissions. i dont think so I have seen it before the new fluids. I think chev is using something close to it.

185 is the normal operation temp for the trans if you were seeing 220 plus than id be worried overtemp codes doesnt set till
P1783 Transmission Transmission overtemperature condition The PCM detected a TFT greater than 135°C (275°F) for more than 5 seconds.

I could have sworn they had a pod for our trucks...must have been my imagination.

I'd like to hear some more reviews even though mine is the 4.6 2V. I've been going back and forth about buying the CS.

Hey Guys I was gonna chime in to let you know that Edge has the Pods for the 09-10's available on their website and I was going to order one for my CTS but am waiting for PHP to get them in. When I talked to Edge the other day they said they had them in stock ready to ship so they are available!!

I'll be checking that out on Edge's web site. Thanks, Slvrbrute.

My temp runs 185-186. Even crossing the mountains going toward WV last Friday. Stayed very steady.

So is that pretty much the norm for tranny temps in the 09-10s? my 04 only got that high just before the tranny started to go. has anyone just run the cs\sts on the stock setting to see what the tranny temp was if its possible?

Running stock tranny temp

I have not used my CTS to flash my truck yet. I wanted good base lines on temps and to get a few more miles on it before I do so. I am still under 2500.
As stated earlier I see 185 up to about 190 when jumping on it. That is in S. Florida aprox 90 outside but even when it has been cooler 80(after rain). It still runs at that temp. Seems high to me but I guess the new fluid and transmission are made for it, I hope. It is the FX4 that comes standard with tow but I don't have MAX tow. I think the only thing diff. are rear springs tow controler and big mirrors.
