Hypertech on my new F150

Just purchased a new 2010 Screw XLT 4X4 and was wondering if my hypertech tuner would hinder anything if I went and changed a few programs. I have the 3.31 axle ratio.

Just was wondering if I should wait to do this or get right to it. Right now (only 700 miles on engine) and averaging 17.1 MPG. I kind of want to ramp up the top end speed just a bit but don't know a ton about engines.

Is there anything I can do? If so, are there any suggestions as far as what programs I should tweek within the Hypertech.

I'm unsure what type options are on the Hypertech, your best bet is to read the owner's manual or contact Hypertech.

It's fixed now.

Then I suggest you leave it alone. Better yet, send it back and get a tuner with custom tunes and you won't have to worry about learning a ton about engines.

I have to ask a stupid question - is your Hypertech compatible with the 2010?

Good question GLC. I'm not really sure. I used it on my 2001 SCrew and un-programmed it and it sat in my garage. Now that I've upgraded I'm not sure if there is even a port for it now.

Damn GLC - based on the first post, how in the heck did you figure out he is re-using the Hypertech?

Are you freakin' clairvoyant?

Anyway, nice job.

There are only 2 Hypertechs that are compatible:

Max Energy Power Programmer - Part #42003
Max Energy Econ Power Programmer - Part #43003
