so you do understand that like engine size, cab configuration Ford offered more than one as "stock"??

go check your door jamb, and come back with the axle code

remember the truck weighs 5000+ lbs. i just bought a mustang gt and drove my f150 for the first time in over a month, and i noticed the difference in weigh and mine has about a $1000 in performance part into it.

try cleaning the maf, if it's dirty it can cause a hesitation off idle and get some throttle body cleaner and clean the idle air control solenoid.

Hmm - you act like a jerk in your original thread and get called out, so you come in here to see if you get treated any differently? I think you better go back to your original thread and make amends if you want any kind of meaningful help here.

i just realized something...in 97 those trucks came from the factory with a small tire size of like 235/70R16's or 245/75R16's which is quite a bit smaller than 33". the gears are most likely 3.55's, if you call the dealer they should be able to tell you how to locate your axle code, tell them the code and they can tell you the gear ratio. if its 3.55's now, i would recommend 3.73's or the next gear lower

I can tell you right now that if you crawl underneath your 97' and look on the rear diff that you will have the gear ratio listed right on a little riveted plate

jtfflying - Not to start anything or make the experience of these forums anymore confrontational for you.... but... It is VERY difficult to gather the meanings of even a single sentence you are typing. A combination of misspellings and the use of completely incoherent words make it very difficult to follow. Again, I don't mean to offend, I just wanted to say that at first I didn't help because it was hard to even understand you. For the misspellings you can right click on words underlined in red and choose the correct spelling, if you do that one thing it will make it much easier for us to help in the future, which we are all here to do

it's even easier if you go out and look at your door tag...

Look for a sticker on the drivers door jamb.

It should have a lot of info on it.
You should be able to find axel code. #9
19 – 3.55 Non-LS
18 -- 3.08 Non-LS
H9 – 3.55 LS
B6 – 3.73 LS
