Edge/PHP 2009-2010 Programmers!
From Corey on PHP's forum yesterday:
"... Bill is on the phone with Edge right now, though, so I had him asked -- again. Everything's in BETA testing right now, so they're just waiting for feedback. Looks like it may just happen! "

Thats all of us waiting. I wish they would at least post a update on the situation. Come on PHP, stay on top of Edge and more importantly keep all of your customers updated!! Dont leave us just hanging out in the dark!! For all the PHP supporters I have checked their website with no updates there either. The wait continues.................. Hopefully one day my trans will shift right, lol.
I actually posted about this last week on our forum. The 2009-2010 programmers are in beta testing at the moment. If all goes well, they should be released any time now. Oh, and I KNOW
... I can only pass on the information that we have available to us. Don't shoot the messenger.

Thanks for the update. We are just all so anxious for this to be released. I find myself checking this thread everytime I get on my computer. Hopefully edge will have some good news you can pass on to us this week.
update on their facebook
Ben: 85150 (Evolution CS) and 85250 (Evolution CTS) are the correct part numbers. We are in final field testing now. We expect to release this before the end of July. You can buy the product now and update it over the internet once the software is released. Thanks for your patience!!

IMHO we don't have any more risk than the 04-08s, but I'm basing this on the fact that manufacturers appear to be testing, researching, testing, etc. a VERY long time.
I've yet to read any warranty issues or failures (purely from the programmer) from Hypertech, Bullydog, Superchip, or even the few that have SCT with custom tunes.
Could a dealer tell if you have a programmer?
Absolutey, but only if they wanted or needed to dig deep enough.
Having said that, you need to do what makes you comfortable and don't rely on my (or anyone else's) opinion.

Sorry about what could be a stupid question, but I've searched and can't find the answer.
I have a 2010 and plan on buying a PHP tuned Evo as soon as they're released.
Question is: Do you have to have the display screen permanently mounted on your dash or is there a model that doesn't show? I really don't want a another reason for someine to break into my rig. Can someone break down the different models for me please.
Thanks,
Jeff

None of the programmers (including the SCT XCAL3) have to remain connected to the truck after you have re-flashed/uploaded the custom tune.
Most people leave the display units connected 'cause 1) they look cool and 2) they can view realtime PIDs.
