Plus this question has been posted on PHP's forums with no response...

In the absence of information, we'll assume the worst...

SCT and Edge use totally different software. Edge obviously has theirs out while we are still waiting on SCT.

VMP has also been doing it for a while:

"I can get rid of that falling on the face feeling after the 1-2 shift." suggests some tranny interaction...

Any one of you tried just picking up the phone and calling Mike Troyer, Justin Starkey or Bill Cohron?

Call SCT and talk to one of the techs then come back and post. I would suggest a few of us have already picked up the phone. There are no transmission or fueling abilities. SCT has a few "value" files that can be loaded but I would not consider that a custom tune by any means. The problem is there is no data logging software for the 2010's. Dont bother emailing SCT because they wont write you back. Only way to reach them is by phone and you still might have a hard time getting through.

On the other hand Edge has done their homework and im sure they will be getting lots of business soon.

I suggested calling the tuners, not SCT. The ones who actually claim to be doing this.

Remember - it's Bill Cohron that EDGE calls to help them fix their stuff, and it's Mike Troyer that SCT calls for the same reason.

Bill already stated in his now-famous '2009' post that the tranny was trivial to tune - as the TCM is not really all that new a concept (already existed on Superduties prior to the intro on the new F150's).

And - Kinda difficult to explain away Smokewagun's real-world experiences, hmmm?

No datalogging software? A good question to ask of the tuners ...

Interesting, since I just received my tunes from Troyer last week (haven't had a chance to install yet) and there is a page of datalogging instructions, if I recall correctly.

And, why would someone buy a Tow Tune, that usually makes most of itself through transmission adjustments, if there is no ability to tune the transmission?

Troyer confirms today that indeed the transmission IS reprogrammed with custom tunes, and they have been doing datalogging on the new F-150's.

if i recall correctly that the 09's and 10's that have been tuned previously have taken up to 45 mins to upload the tunes into them. could this issue be possibly corrected now?

The 45min load time is defintely a turn-off. Lets hope it gets fixed.

Yes, 45 minutes is accurate. There is no problem to correct here. It is just the nature of the new beast.
