Edge Programmer

Hey just wondering if anyone had any experience with this edge programmer? If so what are some of the features, and what will it allow you to adjust? It would be going on a 2003 5.4L with cai, and aftermarket muffler.Looks old and I dont believe edge even makes them anymore, I can get one for cheap but I'm just trying to figure out if it's worth my money and time. Also I've read about people having transmission troubles with edge programmers. Is that from improper settings or the programmer itself? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

You need to go through the threads in the tuner section. You will find a lot to read. The Edge is worth it if better shifting and 20 or so HP will make you happy. In the 4 years or so that we have discussed the Edge or any tuner for that matter, I have never heard of one instance where the tuner hurt the transmission or engine. There have been one or two tranny failures, but they were going to happen with or without a tuner. I have about 70,000 miles with an Edge/Gryphon and could not do without it.

Just looked at the pic, never seen one like that. Is that an early model?

Go on their site and ask them. They just announced a $25 savings on the conversion.
