I believe you will have to buy a tuner for each truck.

yep. all the tuners that i've seen are locked into one truck at a time. it is possible to use one on two different trucks, but you'd have to return each one to stock before tuning the other truck, which effectively defeats the purpose. and forget about custom tunes.

I believe another route you could go is to purchase a dealer version of one of the tuners. As far as I know they do exist for dealers to tune vehicles, not sure what the stipulations are with them, I'm sure they cost 1000's of dollars and require you to sign a contract and become a dealer along with god knows what, probably purchasing the software to create tunes and have the ability to reset devices that are locked out on a dead/broken truck for a fee from the manufacturer...... Something like this http://www.sctflash.com/PDF/9415Instructions.pdf
Notice its the 9415... whereas the end user/consumer model is 9400

OK...... that was meant to confuse you . What I'm getting at is, your much better off buying 2 separate tuners and just having each one married to a different vehicle. You'll save yourself a lot of cash and hassle and have the flexibility of tuning the vehicles independently of one another, and be able to sell off one of the tuners if you sell the vehicle too.
