Rapid Perfromance Resistor!?!?!

OK please dont flame me here! LOL.
I have a friend that showed me one. Its a little black box it looks about the size of a cell phone battery with a red and black wire coming out of it. Now I know ive see talk about these before but couldnt find anything when searching so must of not been searching for the right words maybe.

He bought a nice ford expedition and wants to put it on it. I told him I wouldnt because it may create problems or throw a code. So I was just going to ask has anyone tried one of these or know someone who has and what happened when they hooked it up?

He bought it from e-bay and the guy told him if he gave a postive feed back he would ship him another one for FREE. He said the guy got good feedback but was never saying anything abou the product just fast shipping!?!?!

I know i may be beating a dead horse but never knew anyone actually buying one of these things. So wanted to see some feed back and was going to print everyones thought and give him a copy before installing it.

Thanks!

Really ..... Not this crap again. The stuff is so worthless he's giving it as bribes for good feedback so other ***** like your friend will see it and buy it cuz his eBay feedback is good.

LOL, thanks guys and sorry to bring it up but just wanted to get some feed back so I could print it out and give it to him.
He mainly wanted it for gas saving. Not so much for HP.

Seriously. DONT.

The best case senario is that it does absolutely nothing, and thats the best case.
Worst case, how do you feel about replacing your PCM or engine?

Let's Cool It

Easy, easy, my friends. He DID say he had "searched" and, unless he used the correct search string, he wouldn't get any hits. Who among us has not been there? Try searching the Microsoft Knowledge Base if you want to spend a few frustrating hours (unless you're lucky).

But to the OP - back off. The reason you got the response you did is because this question is asked at least every other week in this forum. Forgive us if we get tired answering the same question, over and over. If you had spent maybe five minutes scanning through the titles of the threads here, you would have found your answer - and you would have seen others getting much the same response as you.

Peace everyone!

- Jack
