Gryphon settings stacked?

I've had my Gryphon with an 87 performance tune for a while now and just recently bumped up my shift settings to 12-12-10. I asked for firm shifts on the paperwork and I'm wondering if the custom tune settings and the shift settings I entered have been stacked or have been overwritten. Any thoughts or ideas on the situation guys?

Been a long time, but if I remember correctly, what you are saying you want whatever setting is in the tune increased by 12% or whatever number yopu enter. The setting in the tune would be 1.00 and you have modified it to 1.12.

But, I think that the Custom Settings percentages add to whatever Bill put in the custom tunes (if he followed your custom tune request and raised them).

In other words you're not simply raising it 12% over stock.

Jack or 88 will know if my recollection is correct.

Tha is what I am saying. It adds to whatever tune is in the PCM.

Well I don't know how firm it was on the 87 tune, I never told him what I used to leave it at on the edge. I might have to make a call after I tone down the firmness. Is there any problem with having say 22% increase, if it is that high?

I think +22 is VERY high, and I would probably not go that far. You put sudden stress on the driveline with clutch lockup that occurs that fast.

And, as everyone has said, Bill has already reduced that lockup time, compared to what it was at stock, in his custom tunes. That is the "0" point. So, your +12 is above and beyond what Bill has already done.

I've left my shift firmness settings alone and during a WOT shift, I can easily "chirp" the serpentine belt. I don't think it's good to go much beyond that.

Yep.
Bill resets the zero in the scale.
So if you used +12 in your canned tunes and then used it in your custom tunes it would be whatever value Bill wrote+the value you put in.

Peace!
