edge problem pls help

hello everyone long time viewer but this is my first post. i have an 04 4.6l crew cab with a roush air intake. i just installed an edge evolution and set it to trans only since people say you need custom tunes to go with the intake. well i set it to trans only and fired it up shes blowing a TON of white smoke and stinks like gas while runnin very rough. this thing ran like a top before the install.
so i set it back to stock and its still doing exactly the same thing. i did update it first btw. its giving me a code says "open circuit cylinder #1". p0201 i think was the code
anyway its easter sunday so theres no tech support i was hoping for any advice since id like to be able to drive to work tomorow.

Sorry but it sounds like a truck problem and nothing to do with the Edge. Trans only changes the shift points therefor not changing anything else to be giving you white smoke.
I don't know what white smoke means but someone should step in and have a better idea. It would probably be good to post this in the V8 section also because it seems like an engine problem.

did you create a custom program and change anything, or did you just load level 1?

Have you tried clearing the code and then unhooking the battery for like 15 minutes. Maybe its some kind of computer glitch giving you a circuit code.

And? After the battery unhook, how does it run?

White smoke is an indication of a coolant leak and possible bad head gasket? It can have an anti-freeze (sweetish) smell.

Blue or grey smoke is an oil leak. Sometimes, it's hard to tell the difference, but it smells different - like burnt oil.

Neither one smells like gasoline though. A strong gas smell usually accompanies a rich running engine and black smoke.

And, I agree with everyone else. There's nothing the Edge did to cause this.

well i cleared the code and unhooked the battery twice and no help. i also went ahead and changed the #1 fuel injector and the same running code and condition still exist. gunna call the dealer i purchased the so called platinum warranty, so we shall see, i plan to take the edge off before i take it to them, will they try to void me because of the intake? should i take that off as well?

Yes, take the intake off.

I agree with Bluejay, anything on your truck but stock, the dealer will try to use against you, saying your aftermarket product is what lead to the failure of your problem. Now, you have to prove otherwise.

I would recommend taking the intake off also. Don't set yourself up for problems. I wouldn't mention the intake or programmer.
