disable the traction control? & get rid of torque mangement?

I was just curious how to disable the traction control on models that do not have a botton to do so? & is there away to get rid of torque management? It is very annoying when 4 wheeling.

Good morning & Welcome!

I'm sorry - I did a complete search of the 2005 Owner's Manual ( here: http://www.motorcraftservice.com/vdi...&menuIndex1=24), and I did not find a single reference to Traction Control.

I don't think the 2005 MY has this option. But - I may very well be wrong - I can't see worth chit

Anyway - generically speaking if no manual controls exist - the only option is to have them defeated (permanently) via custom tuning. Note that you will still have no user selectivity -- you would need to reflash ye PCM to renable .

Torque management is always going to be present in some form - fer example if yer IAT's are very high, engine power is reduced at initial tip-in fer safety - whether it's done via pulling timing, or ETC overrides, it still results in a reduction of available torque.

For a really lively discussion on this whole issue in the 2009+ trucks, go have a look in that forum.
