2005 F150 Edge Programmer Issues

I have an edge evolution programmer. I normally run it on level 2 during the summer to pull my raceecar and put it back to stock during the winter. I put it back up to level 2 and as soon as i drove out of the driveway it almost shut the engine down, the engine light came on and the message center said Engine Failsafe Mode. I checked the DCT codes and it said P060 and P2106 "Forced throttle actuator control." Now I cant get the codes or Engine Failsafe Mode to Clear and it has no power. Any ideas??

have you tried to simply cut the engine off then cut it back on when it does this.. this sounds like what my truck did when I cleaned the TB and it almost wanted to shut off.. check engine light was on and it had no power.. I cut it off then back on and it was fine, also Id try to unhook battery leave it alone for 10 mins then hook it back up.. just some stuff to tinker with that could possibly solve it.. but I dunno-

I dont think the programmer did anything to cause it, call Edge though.

I tried unhooking the battery for 45 min. still had the error codes and engine failsafe mode. it also only shifts at 4000 rpm at wot.

The P2106 code is simply telling you something you already know, that the system is operating under "Failsafe Mode".

The "cause" appears to be the other code, and I don't think you're listing it correctly? There IS NO P060 code that I can find. There IS a P0600 code, which is "Serial Communication Link Malfunction". And, it has these "possible causes":
Blown Fuse.
Open between PCM and TCM.
Open power or ground at connector.
Damaged connector.
Damaged TCM.
Damaged PCM.
So, it looks like there's some kind of "communications problem" between your PCM and the vehicle.

The blown fuse sure looks tempting, but I doubt you'd see anything on the Edge with a blown cigarette lighter fuse, and I can't think of any other fuses that apply.

You might want to:
Clean the TB and the MAF.
Then disconnect and reconnect the battery.
While your working on your truck replace the fuel filter too.
Also check the fuses like Jack suggested.

did you by chance try returning it to the stock tune? if you try programing with a weak battery it can cause all kinds of issues as well.

Yeah i just returned it to stock and it added another error code--"Gear ratio Tire Size out of paramaters or somethin like that. It got a brand new battery 2 months ago. Like i said in the other post ill prolly just take it to the dealer and hopefully they can reflash it. this is the first issues i have had with it.

TB-Throttle Body located on the intake manifold.
MAF-Mass Air Flow located in the intake tube that's connected to the TB.

i just recently converted my 05 XLT into an FX4 and i was hooking my system back up, and when i turned my truck on to set the amp straight again, my edge didnt light up? i obviously had to disconnected the battery to set the system up, but even that shouldnt matter cause ive done it before with no problems. i tried syncing it to my cpu and it told me to turn my truck to setting "0" (stock), but i cant do anything if i cant get it to turn on!! i tried unplugging it from under the dash and still nothing. HELP.

Check the cigar lighter. If it does not work, it's the fuse. If it works, it's possible you have a dead or weak battery.

Replace the blown fuse in the fuse box. It serves both the lighter and the port.
