whats all this about?

Please forgive my ignorance, but whats this stuff all about? I have some mods,( K&N drop in, cat back) do I need one of these things to take full advantage of them? And if so, and even if not, what are the pros and cons?

If your talking about custom tune then check out this web site or do advance search on VMP, PHP & Troyer.
