I saw a dem of it at SEMA. It was excellent there. That was using the CTS and THEIR backup camera.

Thanks. There was 1 member who received a unit unit a beta tester, maybe he will chime in with an opinion since he's had some time with it. I'm just trying to decide whether to spend the extra money or whether is just a waste of money

Well .. I'm all for integration.

Saw a feller with a dash-mounted GPS, a dash-mounted sat radio, a dash-mounted DVD screen, and a dash-mounted Scanguage. That's a LOT of suction cups. And a rat's nest of power cabling

The obvious clutter & potential for driver distraction aside, it's an open invitation fer a broken window.

A tad pricey, methinks. They should include the camera for that $$$ amount, IMHO. And - all "eggs in one basket" has it's own downside....

You're right about the downsides. The camera is pretty cool though. It's small enough that it doesn't stand out and it has a lock on it that is pretty darned "pick" proof - the downside is that you cannot get replacement keys cut for it and if you loose the two that are supplied... But, a thief would probably have to pry it off and would probably ruin it in the process. The camera is a low light one, so it works in the dark as well as in the day.

That's me. Picture quality is top notch...maybe not 1081p quality but as long as the camera doesn't have road splash debris on it it is really nice. I use it to back up to my trailer and to check for tailgaiters as I'm cruising down the road.

Thats what I was wondering. You wouldnt by any chance have any video of it, would you. Edge quoted me $350 for the CTS model but didnt give me a price on the camera. When asked how much camera was, they stated, "We offer a huge discount with upgrade on that as well."

Also, on a separate note, has any one heard any more on the Gryphon model? I checked their forum but there wasnt anything new.

Sorry, I don't have video. My oldest son dropped my video camera on a concrete floor and now I'm without a camera for the time being. I'd love to get a cannon D5000 but that's a whole other story.

$350 on the CTS sounds pretty good considering they have it listed for over $600 on their web site. Since I'm a beta tester I got a good deal on the whole package.

By the way, if you're on the fence about the CTS you can read my thoughts, opinion and observations about it. Just click here.

Cool - this answers something I was unsure of - you can use it when you're moving forward!

Yep, sounds about right. They must still be beta testing as that's about what I have wrapped up it the CTS and camera for my truck. Pull the trigger...I'm glad I did.

I can't speak for Edge Products but if I had to wager a guess I would say they are still in beta testing (I'm a beta tester and haven't heard otherwise). Try and submit a request through their web page to be a tester and see what they say. That's what I did.
