what is the best performance chip or programmer for a 4.2 V6??

 

Well I don't want to say its the best but I know plenty of guys with 4.2s and 3.8 stangs that go with the Xcal2 or Xcal3. I've got a 3 myself and its worked flawlessly. As for getting tunes these are the top three that I can think of..in no particular order.

have you heard anything good about the jet performance chip??

 

I don't know anything about them sorry, but I'm sure someone on here will chime is sooner or later.

 

stay away from jet and hypertech..they are both crap

 

It's garbage!!

If you really want to increase the performance of your 4.2L than do it right and spend the money on a custom tuned Xcal3 from a reputable tuner like VMP Tuning.

i have a xcal 2 for sale, you could send it to troyer or vmp and have it tuned for your specific specifications.
