Economy tune question

i went from 93 performance tune to my 87 economy tune, thinking i could save a couple bucks since i am not working at the moment. i drove for a little seeing what this tune is like and i do not liek it at all. my truck does not go into overdrive at 55-60 mph, so the rpms are always at 2,000 or a little above. what is the purpose of this to supposedly save fuel? is it hurting anything having my truck running at those rpms all the time now? i am thinking of returning to stock until i run this full tank of 87 down. what do you guys think? btw its VMP tunes, love the performance tunes but not liking this one right now haha

Something is wrong with the tune if it doesn't go into overdrive.

Your truck's not being hurt by not having an overdrive gear, but it IS hurting your gas mileage. I'm sure this is a very simple "on/off" setting in the tunes that somehow got "flipped", since overdrive is enabled/disabled electronically with a simple "on/off" switch in the cab. Did you possibly also get a towing tune from Justin? It's possible he MAY have mislabeled the tow tune as the economy tune if this is the case.
