I don't know if this is a stupid question or not, but I just recently got my Gryphon. I am just wondering, if I want to turn to the key on, but not crank the truck and play the radio(I do this a lot)..how do I cut off my Gryphon so that it isn't pulling on my battery? Do I unplug it?

 

I had to think a minute, but the monitor is not activated when you turn the key to auxillary for the radio. It is the next notch before you engage the starter when it is actvated.

 

Oh ok. I didn't reliaze that. Haven't tried it yet. But I am glad to know that I won't have a problem. Thanks for the info! I will get the hang of this thing shortly...

 

Bluejay is absolutely correct (as always). If you want the Gryphon OFF with the ignition ON though, you WILL have to unplug it. (Make sure the ignition is ON before you plug it back in so it will initialize properly).

Not to hijack, but Is this "bad" for the Gryphon? Turning to 2nd notch without starting the engine. Never thought about it but I've done it probably 20 times in the last week(trying to hack GPS).

 

Shouldn't bother it at all. It's no more harmful than turning your cell phone on and off.
