Superchips Flashpaq for 06?

Hey guys, my buddy had a 2005 f150 XLT, and had a red superchips programmer for it, he sold the truck, and bought an 09 XLT.

Will that superchips work for his 09??

Would it work with my 06 XLT?

thanks in advance

IF it's the Model # 1865: https://www.superchips.com/default.a...alog&vfid=1133,

AND, he returned it to STOCK before selling the truck, then:

Yes.

BUT- you may need to update the unit online to ensure your strategy is supported - download the Update app ( ~22mb) from the SC homepage: https://www.superchips.com/default.aspx#pn=Home

It's the "Update Tuner' link at the top. Would also help to have the user guide, Hex code, PCM info, etc handy.

In the event that either you or he have an esoteric strategy code, you may need to contact SC directly for additional assistance / vehicle support info:

Ok, I dont think he did anything special with the tuner and truck before he sold it...

He's bringing it over tonight...and I know nothing about them..

Where's the manual?

Sorry - that's not too clear to me .... I take it then that it was NOT returned to stock?

If so - you will need to contact SC for help. Cannot be used on another truck until it's been unlocked. Don't even hook it up.

If it HAS been returned to stock - sure, go ahead and plug it in .. worst-case you will see this: ( c/p from the SC site - tech support section):

Q: My tuner works fine on my vehicle, but after I returned my vehicle to stock and tried it on another vehicle I own, the screen showed E-6D “Needs Update – why?

A: Every Superchips programmer is freshly loaded at our factory with the latest databases meant to provide extremely broad vehicle coverage. Your vehicle’s calibrations (tuning files) were inside our database, but your other vehicle had calibrations Superchips has not seen before.

You can run Superchips Easy Update on your programmer. If the files are ready, you get them immediately. If not, you will receive an e-mail as soon as they are available.

Still having trouble and need some assistance? Feel free to contact our customer service department directly at 1.888.227.2447*, or by email tech@superchips.com*.

* Our customer service department is open Monday-Friday 8am-5pm eastern standard time.

Good luck
