problems w/ edge evo

anyone had problems w/ edge evo? I have experienced "weird" situations when programmed to level 3 and used under normal driving conditions. Sounds like an air leak or something along those lines. When I come to a stop, the noise stops and feels like tranny jerks. Reprogram to stage 2 and all is fine. Just curious.

Are you running a stock air intake or a CAI?

The fact that the problem goes away on Level 2 suggests there's something amiss with the Level 3 tune. Rather than "guess" at what might be wrong, I'd talk it over with Edge Tech Support. They may know exactly what the problem is and may have a fix for you.

It's possible you are running lean on level 3. Level 2 is a richer tune. The Edge tunes are written for a stock intake.

I thought as much. Didn't realize this could be a problem till after I purhcased both programmer and CAI. Runs great with foot in firewall. Just can't ease around town in it.......

At least there is a solution. You can convert it to a Gryphon and get custom tunes. They are much better anyway and will really take advantage of the CAI. Even if there is something else wrong with the Level 3 and you are not really running lean, replacing it with a custom tune will eliminate the problem. How do you like how I spend your money?

I have heard good things about the Gryphon programmer on here. Do I send them my Evo and they re-program it or what? Still kind of new to all this.

Yes, you pay a small fee for them to reskin it as a Gryphon and they write and load the custom tunes you order.
