When you order an Edge what color is the pod that mounts on your dash? I have seen pictures of it in black and also a silver/grey color. My guess would be it comes black and people PTM with the silver/grey?

 

They're grey now. They used to be black.

the gray one that i had didnt really match my dash but i was in a lariat the other day and the dash was more silver than gray, so i think it would match that pretty good.

 

I have a dark grey, will trade for a silver one!

yea, i dont think ive seen a tan pod, except for ones that have been painted.

 

What type of paint do you use to paint the pod ?

 

if you scuff it up a little with some sand paper, krylon fusion will work but im not sure if they have a color that matches. if you use other kinds of paint then you'll probably need to prime it first.

 

An automotive paint shop can mix a rattle can of paint to match your interior. It won't cost a fortune. You won't find a pre-mixed paint anywhere. And yes, if you have a tan dash, you'll have to paint the pod.

What's the closest color spray paint to the oem tan? I might be getting a gryphon for christmas.

 

Does the silver now match the dash? ..or do you still have to paint it to get a good match?

I saw some threads that gave the part number of the color that you could buy in store that would match very well. I was going to do it before I got rid of my Edge.
