Edge for 1997-2003
The stock calibrations are the same; however, the old "Gameboy" style Evo is simply a programmer. You can go into Diagnostics and monitor a few parameters, but it's nothing like the dash-mounted Evo 2. If you only need a programmer, it should be fine. Just make sure that the seller is a certified Edge dealer so that it will be warrantied by Edge in case there's a problem.
I am not familiar with this model at all. It looks to be a bit like the "SF3" device from SCT - which means it has "canned" tunes and is used only to program the PCM. Looking on Edge's website, it's the 1st generation programmer and they're still selling it! The ebay price looks like a good deal and I like the way the seller represents it.
I'd look into it further if you don't want the gauge feature that the later models have.
Edit: I see Corey beat me to posting our replies! (Blame it on Janet - she came home and we had to talk about things). I like Corey's response too. Now, this is personal - if it were me, I'd bite the bullet and get a newer model. It WILL cost more, but I think you'll get more out of it.
