ocpro#11 - I am in a similar position with a good reputation from my business, and I have customers that are willing to wait for me. The thing is, I let customers know what the schedule is and allow them to decide if they are willing to wait, normally 8-10 weeks. I assume a responsibility to be on schedule with the delivery of their product.
From what I have read on this forum, Troyer takes so much longer to deliver than what the customer is expecting (X2?) that it becomes ,yet one more, Troyer bashing thread.

Oh my. If what I posted here is taken as bashing, it was not my intent. I just believe that if you have a stock or near stock vehicle, there are tuners that can deliver a quality tune with a shorter wait. While there is a lot of hype about custom tunes, I wonder how many people could tell the difference between a canned tune and a custom tune on a stock truck?

If you want to wait for a custom tune, you have every right to do so. But if you tell a customer, it's going to take a month or two and then takes five, that's not good business, regardless of how great the product or how gifted you may be. I'd be willing to bet that the OP paid up front for that tune when he ordered it.

Why is it that anytime someone mentions they are happy with the product they received from Mike Troyer, a pissing match is not long to follow?

I'm not trying to say that my tunes are any better, or any worse than any one elses. I'm not trying to say that it took a long time or a short time to receive them.

I was only stating that I received the tunes that I decided on after reading too many posts about all the tuners/programmers available to me. I expected it would take a few months. At the end of the day, I received what I believe to be quality products, from a respected tuner, and in a time frame that I EXPECTED.

If his wait times (published or not) are too long for you, then go somewhere else. I'm happy with what I got.

Rockpick, can you close this thread?

We don't need Rockpick to do it. I agree, everyone's had their say - let's just move on.
