New to Programming
I am new to the world of programming and i am just looking for some feedback. The thread from Jack and Janet actually helped a lot, but I just had a few more questions.
The reason I am even looking at a programmer is because lately my truck seems to hesitate while accelerating, usually I am going between 35-45 mph when this happens. To give a snapshot of my 2008 F150 truck its got a 5.4 engine, CAI, dual split catback exhaust, 6" lift, and 35's. (Someone told my to check my tran fluid, which is fine).
Do you guys think a programmer could help this situation? I have read great things about PHP. Again I am new-I appreciate any feedback.

You have big tires. If they're not OEM, the PCM is being lied to about the vehicle's speed and that may command a shift at the wrong time. Again, a programmer can fix that.
I doubt you're getting the most out of your CAI. Although it's probably not causing a lean running condition in your MY truck, a stock tune is not using it to full advantage.
You should try to talk to one of the tuners about this. Call Mike Troyer or Bill Cohron and see what they think about the benefits of a tune. I don't think either of them will try to sell you something you don't need.

This started happening about two weeks ago. At that time, all of the listed mods were already on. It occurs only on an upshift. I agree with your comments about the tires, a tune was first recommended to me because of that. I am hoping the problem is with one of the scenarios you gave. My truck is only one year old, has 8,000 miles on it, and has never been off road. Thanks for your response!
