No bad. It's the PowerHungryPerformance forum: http://dygytalworld.ehost-services13...rums/index.php

Bill Cohron, the tuner there is mostly responsible for the tunes on the Evolution for F150s.

But, I can tell you, that in his opinion, the "Gotts" mod will not cause any problem on your truck with the Edge tunes.

Would you guys recommend a GOTTS mod on a 09 F150 or should I wait until my warrenty is up? does it effect any sensors? MAF? I am patiently () waiting for the Edge to release their 09 Evolution. Possibly getting a PHP tune once I get my aftermarket mods all picked out>

You ask a good question and I don't have a good answer. I know the filter box was moved almost to the end of the intake for these, almost like the pre-04 models. Is the intake snorkel restricted like it is in the 04-08s? And, where is the MAF sensor? Is it still back near the throttle body?

You really want to be able to avoid changing the flow patterns around the MAF sensor. And, if the intake snorkel is restrictive, you'd like to "open it up".

I seem to remember Bill Cohron (ASEMechanic) simply taking the snorkel off when he was working on tunes for the 09 for Edge. He didn't even worry about extending a larger pipe back into the fender well. He reported, if my memory is correct, a horsepower and torque increase with this change and no ill effects.

I'd say, if the answers to my questions all seem positive - go for it.

the 2 valve motors are not prone to running lean like the 3 valve motors are but a custom tune will help you get some more out of your truck
