99 f-150 tuner

Hey guys,
I'm sure this has already been posted. Put I could not find it. What's the best tuner for a 1999 f-150 xlt 4x4 5.4? I've got a cold air and cat backs. Waiting on money for long tubes, pullies, tb spacer. I just don't know if every tuner will correct for this items, and up the trans shift pressure.
Thanks

I would suggest buying a tuner first. I like SCT products myself, perhaps an Xcal3 for you??
The long tube headers and CAI will require retuning from just a stock enhanced tune. Try Justin at VMP.

I think any custom tuned programmer such as the X3 or the Gryphon will give you what you want. I agree with ONELOWF too, get the programmer first. Tell whichever tuner you work with (Justin, Mike or Bill) that you are putting in the CAI and headers.

If I were you, I'd skip the TB spacer (unless you're driving a carbureted truck) They're pretty much useless on a fuel injected engine.

Custom tunes on the Gryphon and X3 WILL change your shift parameters for the better.

Thanks guys, I was leaning towards the sct anyway. Also, I did plan to have it custom tuned before I throw the other parts at it. Besides, I've had some money woes recently. So just the tuner for now anyway. I'll skip the tb spacer also. Thanks again.
