Where is the computer located? On firewall under dash or in engine compartment?

 

You guys really don't know or is this almost the dumbest question you have ever heard?

 

Look under the hood, should be on the passanger firewall if its the same as the 04-08s. Not a dumb question, why do you ask?

 

I'm curious as to why you are asking as well

if the picture is correct, then ford only re-designed the air intake and re-located the fluid bottles & battery locations?

 

Because I wanted the computer code to order a Xcal 3 from VMP.

 

if you want the computer code look on the pasenger door jamb or is only on the ecm on the new trucks?????



look at the picture posted my mana 150, top left hand corner of the picture you'll see the ecm on the firewall

 

The HEX code is not on the door jam on my truck, is it there on yours?

There should be a label on the PCM that gives the HEX code. But, it may not be correct. If your truck's PCM has been reflashed (which is common as they iron out bugs in a new design), the HEX code shown on the label will be wrong.

With a Gryphon or Edge, you can get the code when you first plug it in. I think you can do the same thing with the X3. You can get the X3 with canned tunes and Justin can create the custom tunes for you later, once you have the HEX code.
