Hey everybody, I had a question regarding my Edge...Recently my trucks IAT started running 10 Degrees hotter than what the outside temp shows...I'm running the Gotts Intake,Edge & Flowmaster Exhaust.I also got a CEL for lean condition on Bank 1 & 2, been running my Edge for about a year with no problems but never updated it...Help Please!
I'll be honest with you... this is the first truck I've heard of that had a lean condition with a Gott's mod! I doubt updating your Evo will help because the calibrations haven't been updated in over a year anyway.
Did the jump in IAT coincide with the lean codes? If so, check for any vacuum leaks and repair as necessary.
Also, what kind of air filter are you running? Oil element (K&N style) filters have a nasty habit of contaminating the Mass Air Flow sensor and can also exhibit similar symptoms, especially the elevated IAT. Even if contamination isn't the issue, it could still be a bad MAF sensor.
