Custom Lvl2 - Looking for a lil more

Like the title says, I'm looking for advice on what I can do with Lvl2 to get a little more "omph" out of her.
Short of going to Lvl3 which means I'd have to run 93 and short orgetting custom tunes... What advice do ya'll have for modding Lvl2?!

TIA.

Would you like to give us a hint about your vehicle's engine/transmission/body style and what programmer you are using?

Edit: OK, with a little effort I've found you have a SCrew and it's 4WD. Is the engine a 5.4L? I'm kinda guessing you have an Edge, or is it a Gryphon? (They ARE different, you know).

YOu need to try level 3 and check mileage. I ran level 3 for 31,000 miles and it cost no more. I got 11% better mileage with Level 3 compared to Level 2. And had 73% more fun!

Bluejay, I do all in city stop and go driving. Is Lvl3 w/93 really worth it for me?!

if you drive it properly then yes you will most likely gain mileage hence saving more than the additional $5 it costs to fill up on 93 octane VS crappy 87 octane

*edit*
why is everyone so scared to run 91-93 octane fuel???? if you can get better mileage and better smoother power what's wrong with that???? or is saving yourself money the #1 problem???

For me it has nothing to do with "being scared". I used to run 93 in my Grand Prix all the time. It also has nothing to do with spending an additional $3.30 per fill up.
It does however have to do with my lead foot. I notice that I tend to play with the added power gained from the canned Lvl2, especially when teen ricers snicker at a red light at a 7k+ lb truck.
I'm gonna give it a try on my next fill up. What should I notice once I go Lvl3? Or will it take 1-2 fill ups for the PCM to "relearn"?!

Isn't Lvl3 and "driving gently" an oxymoron?!

You are the only one that can decide that. You need to try it to find out. I do a lot of stop sign to light driving but I also do a lot of freeway driving and highway driving. The freeways and 2 lane roads are where level 3 was most useful. Trying to accelerate in a hurry, when needed. It's also where the custom tunes have shown the most improvement. My 87 Performance tune delivers everything Level 3 did plus better downshifting. The downshifting is very important to me in freeway traffic and on 2 lane highways.

Now that I know what you have (and what you're really trying to do), maybe try setting the WOT 1-2 and 2-3 shifts at 5100 and the 3-4 shift at 4600. Set the max RPM at 5500. I wouldn't go much higher than those due to HP and torque dropoff above 5000 and torque converter ballooning above 5400. You could add 10-12 to the shift firmness for 1-2 and 2-3. Maybe about +9 to 3-4.

And, you could increase the part throttle shift and TC lockup points by the max allowed for each.

If you get 93, bump the timing +1. The WOT fuel, 1.5. I ran +12, +12, and + 9 on the shift pressure. I had shift points at 5250, 5250 and Max rpms at 5650.
