Question Is my Edge suppose to do this??

Well i installed a cai last night and i put my edge to stock then unhooked the battery. then put my battery cable back on started it for a few minute. put the edge back to 1 which i've always had it on. Go out on the road this morning(last night i did some holeshots to see if any difference) and stomp my truck, and to my suprise has a whole new better sound and feel i get to 80 let up shifts to OD then i feel it catch ad starts to slow down.. not drastically like if i hit the brakes but slows down and then i get back on he throttle(not enough to down shift) and i feel it catch and drives fine but still in OD. before if i did this my truck would almost stay same rpms couldnt feel a difference then when i went to get back on it would be in 4th gear and immediatly shift up into od after i touched throttle. Is this suppose to happen? i think it did it when i first put the edge in my truck over a year ago but havent felt it in a while....

You are starting from square one! You disconnected your battery and reset the pcm to a learning/drive cycle mode. Loading and changing tunes also does this. Whatever your driving style is the pcm has adapted/accounted for it over the past year. This is maybe why your truck drives like this now.
