obd error

I just installed a K&N air intake on my 06 scab. I already have a magnaflow exhaust and an edge tuner. when i finished the install and started the vehicle, when i rev the engine it sounds liek a backfiring. i used th eedge to diagnose and it gave me an error: Poll3 (IAT) sensor circuit high input. Reading online it says that my intake temp is too high...what do i do now...i dont want to drive it with the backfiring...any help would be great thanks.....

It really sounds like the CAI has confused the intake sensor. I suggest you return the intake to stock and see what happens. My guess is, the problem will go away.

You can have the benefits of the aftermarket CAI without the cost by doing this: https://www.f150online.com/forums/ar...04-2008-a.html

It does not change the MAF sensor environment, so you won't get the problems you're currently having.

Thanks...but i dont feel like cutting the wall. plus i like the added space the K&N filter gives me...
the backfiring has completely stopped. its just the error reading on the edge. it does it every like 4th run of the diagnoses process/. the engine doesnt run hot, i just think the mass air sensor is sensing a hotter intake air...

What K&N did you install? I don't blame you for not wanting to cut the wall. That mod will end up biting a lot of people eventually. My opinion and I stand by it.

Get the k+n off.
Return to stock air intake.
Clean maf with maf sensor cleaner.
Clean the throttle body, you may or may not have to do this.
What level where you running on the edge when this happened?
Upgrade from edge to gryphon and get custom tunes.

Thanks everyone....right now the truck drives fine....sounds nice...can definitely hear the added air at WOT. The only thing i have wrong is the edge says that p0113 error every once in a while...all guages are normal on the dash. not running hot or cold or anything abnormal. i wonder if the mass air sensor just never reset when disconnected and reconnected. im gonna call kn later

Check the connections with the MAF sensor.
Could be bad connection.
Broken wire(s).
Wires are shorting.
