I'm glad you understand, I'm still confused as hell! At least I understand he was really in 4th gear now. But, his tranny was locked up and slipping climbing a hill? Is this possible? Then, he put it into reverse and in reverse is where the "slipping" is happening? And, if I get this right, you had to raise the rpms to 2500 before the reverse gear would engage? Were you climbing a hill in reverse?

I dunno, Jdiddy - why don't you call Tech Support at Edge? Maybe they can understand your problem better than we do.

okay, i passed my buddy a main road. then as i came into my drivewayi put it into second then first. it did not do anything, just slowed the truck down. The rpms did not rise, it didnt do anything. I came to a complete stop, shut the truck off. i didnt think anything of it. I started my truck and it made a whine noise. Went to leave my house hit the gas and it felt it was second. then i put it into reverse, rolled back a few feet, then stopped. i didnt use any breaks. hit the gas nothing happened, just rpms rose. brought the rpms up to 2500 and then it engaged. cherped the tires and then everything was fine. i dont get it just figured i would ask, didnt relize it would have turned into this

Update the edge.
Check the tranny fluid.

Before I got the custom tunes, I ran the Edge canned tunes for 1 1/2 years. That was during the period they were making lots of changes and corrections. Mine ran great and I never updated. I'm a firm believer in not messing with something that is working.
