Any experience with Diablo?

I just picked up a Diablo Predator (U5173) programmer from a friend for almost nothing! I know it has the performance tune from Diablo that I could use, but was wondering if anybody knows a good/reputable place where I can get a custom tune for my truck. I live in Oklahoma. Thanks

Do you have the 4.6 or 5.4 ? I bought my Diablo Sport Predator a year ago to tune my 4.6 xlt and have nothing but praise for the tuner...0 issues....Make sure that you select the right final gear ratio and correct that number for your oversize tires......

Just load up the base 93 Performance tune start with...It really wakes up the engine...From there you can modify the tune yourself if you want a higher redline or firmer or later or sooner shifts based on MPH and or RPM..add/remove timeing and adjust air/fuel if you have a wideband to base the changes off of. and much more....It is a great Tuner, loads fast...The 93 Performance tune makes a big difference...try it first......

Personally I think this is the best Handheld tuner out there, works out of the box as advertised, unlike many of SCT products and others...

As when flashing with any tool, make absolutely sure that your battery is in very good condition/state of charge to avoid any programing issues...If in doubt hook up a battery charger while programming (Ford even has a TSB that tells their techs to do this...

Good luck and enjoy.......

Where is a good place to purchase one from? Since Edge is having all kinds of problems with the power cords, i am researching other options...
How does it compare to SCT3 tuner, if anyone knows?

I got mine through Autoanything, free overnight shipping, and they run discounts all the time, they direct droped shipped from Diablo Sport.......

Personally I think this is the best Handheld tuner out there, works out of the box as advertised, unlike many of SCT products and others...Their preloaded Performance tunes are the best compared to the others........

I've got 5.4. Will there be a noticeable difference if I use 91 instead of 93 octane. All the gas stations that are close only go up to 91.

Well I run the 93 Perf tune for over a year on my 4.6 XLT and we do not have anything higer than 91...I run SHELL 91 on the 93 PERF tune and have had 0 issues or spark Knock.....

Try running the Shell on the 93 tune, if it runs fine your ok also...
If it spark knocks on the 93 tune, simply Plug the Predator back in and go to adjustable parameters and subtract a degree or 2 of timeing and you will be fine.........
