ok so i sold all my performance stuff to a friend cause he wanted it all and i was going to trade my truck in.

well ive decided not to so i was going to buy a new gryphon cause thats the base of performance and i miss mine.

well what do ya know. php has stopped selling gryphons for 97-03 f150s.

im sorry but i think it is absolutely ridiculous that companies are discontinuing products for 97-03 f150s while theres still millions of them out there running the roads every day.

you dont see companies discontinuing products for older chevys and dodges so why discontinue products for the #1 selling truck?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

sorry just really upset and needed to rant!

but the real reason for this thread is does anyone know of any way to get a gryphon for my truck? i am in desperate need of one!!!

 

That really sucks. If you are wanting a custom tune on your truck, PHP still offers the SCT X3. Their custom tune on a Gryphon, should be the same as a custom tune on a SCT X3. You do however lose the display that the Gryphon offers.

I would check Ebay or the classifieds for Gryphons for sale. I see them pop up on this forum alone all the time.

man i drove a friends with the spartan tunes and OMFG the power is amazing

we pulled up next to a roush stage 3 mustang an he told me to get him to play with us so the next red light we ran em an that poor kid didnt kno what happened

then came a dodge bluecrap with edge & dpf delete an he was talkin all this trash an man he was really upset when when he found out he didnt have a chance.

We didn't just randomly stop selling this unit. There was a problem with the cable, and we were replacing just about as many as we were selling. I think it would have been far worse to sell you something that was broken.

Ive had both an Edge Evolution and a Gryphon and never had problems with either an both the guys that I sold each to have never had problems with them.

 

You mite want to wait on getting a 6.4, I've herd they are ditching International and building there own diesel for 2011. Google 6.7 Scorpion, it sounds like its gonna be mean.

trucks been wrecked twice (neither my fault)
and when every dealer I take it to wants to give me more than i paid for it tradin it in i think i need to get rid of it

truthfully im stuck between a raptor and a F250

ya but if im gunna get one i dont want the 5.4 and from what our fleet salesman has told my father and i is the 6.2 wont be available by the earliest october.

there was a blue one at houston sx this year an my poor gf couldnt pull me away from it. but it was ok. she was the same way the day we took delivery of her expy

idk, we really need a nice diesel to tow our toys to general sams and mud buddys but then again itd be nice to tow the brutes an teryx up to general sams. unhook the trailer and take the raptor on the trails too.
well crap that all made my decision so much easier.

really the only thing keeping me from gettin a 6.4 is the price of diesel down here (and the stupid raptors lol). today i passed a local gas station an the price for diesel was $2.159 a gal. saddest part was regular was the same price, an its usually way cheaper.

The problem is with NEW OBDII cables made for these units. Edge is trying to isolate the lot numbers where the problem is occurring. If they can, then PHP will start selling that model again. If you were to find a used Edge that was a couple of years old, you probably wouldn't have any problems either.
